The Grand Tasting Wines from Around the World
Saturday May 23rd, 7:00-10:30pm
The Elegant Grand Ballroom.
Over 60 wineries from around the world will be present, including Estate and Reserve bottles typically found only at the winery. Carving stations, seafood, imported cheeses, and desserts will be artfully prepared by Chef Josef Lageder and his culinary team. Guests will mingle with Master Sommeliers as they enjoy live music, culinary delights, and wines from around the world.
Friday, May 22nd
Tasting with The Masters ~ 6:00 pm
Master Sommeliers Ron Mumford, M.S. and Ira Harmon, M.S. will lead guests through an informative session on how to participate in a professional wine tasting experience.
"South America on the Bay" ~ 6:30 to 10:00 pm
With numerous wineries represented, guests will enjoy premier South American wines, delightful food stations, and an eight piece festive salsa band completing the ambiance - all under the stars overlooking the Bay.
Saturday, May 23rd
Exclusive "Concha Y Toro" Winery Luncheon ~ 11:30 am
Chardonnay's from Around The World
~ 3:00 pm
Our Master Sommeliers will explore Old World and New World Chardonnays in this afternoon tasting. The Chardonnay grape itself is very neutral. With many of the flavors derived from such influences as terroir (the soil) and oak, the wine has different styles - from elegant, to buttery or with hints of fruit.
Red Wine Blending With Clos Du Bois "Marlstone"
~ 4:30 pm
Guests will enjoy blending their own meritage using the grape varietals that make up Marlstone. Larry O'Brien, Master Sommelier with Beam Wine Estate, will lend his expertise and each participant will take home their own blend!
Sunday, May 24th
First Cabin Restaurant European Breakfast Buffet ~ 11:00 to 1:30 pm Including a complimentary glass of Sparkling Wine. Guests will enjoy this buffet brunch in the dining room, or on the outside Terrace overlooking the bay.
Cigars, Cognacs & Cocktails on
The Terrace ~ 4:00 pm
Join us on the bayside Terrace, as award-winning Master Mixologist and performer Livio Lauro educates guests on the history of the martini and cocktails. Following this, everyone will enjoy hand-mixed cocktails, cognacs and cigars, hand-rolled by a local artisan.
